About Reading List (Leganto)
Reading List, powered by Ex Libris Leganto, is a new library service tool that helps improve the process of creating and managing course reading lists and submission of course reserves.
Instructors can:
- create dynamic lists of citations from a range of sources - print or electronic library resources, streaming video, websites, textbooks, journals, and more
- monitor student engagement through system analytics
- promote student engagement by enabling features that allow students to recommend resources and post comments
- easily update content and reuse elements or duplicate whole lists for other courses
- comply with applicable copyright policies
- fully leverage library resources
- allow selected collaborators to edit and manage lists
Students can:
- find all of their course readings in one place, recommend resources, and post comments for discussion
- access resources directly from the AnimoSpace (Canvas) – no separate log-in credentials needed, no broken links, mobile-friendly
- have direct access to online resources such as ebooks, eJournals, and databases, as well as websites and videos
- engage with the reading list - students can like and comment on resources and suggest new items to add to the list
- build their own collection of useful resource lists
