Animo Repository Guide: How to Search for Publications

Simple Search

Simple Search

From the home page or anywhere in Animo Repository, you'll see the search box in the top left. Basic Search is the default search in Animo Repository.

Basic Search will perform a full-text search of all the items within Animo Repository. The search terms may be in any metadata field or in the full text. Additionally, you may use the drop-down menu to specify content from only a single publication, from the repository as a whole, or across all repositories in Digital Commons.

Advanced Search

Advanced Search

You can use Advanced Search if you want to narrow your search or combine search fields and options.

The default advanced search is set to "All Fields," which will query all the criteria used in a simple search. You may refine results using the drop-down menus provided, and use the +/- buttons to include additional criteria such as Abstract, Subject, Author, Institution, Title, Document Type, and Publication.

You can also filter by Date Range, Sort by Relevance or Publication Date, and limit search within Animo Repository or across all repositories using bepress Digital Commons.
