Scope Note

Techniques that produce or measure features less than 100 nanometers in size [Quoted from: https://classweb.org/min/minaret?app=Auth&mod=Search&table=1&menu=/Menu/&iname=heading&iterm=Nanotechnology&ilabel=Subject%20heading&time=1589332098966 ]

The science that deals with the study and manipulation of structures at the nano level. At the nano level, things are measured in nanometers (nm), or one billionth of a meter (10−9). Nanoparticles can be produced using various techniques known as top-down nanofabrication, which starts with a larger quantity of material and removes portions to create the nanoscale material [Quoted from: http://0-search.ebscohost.com.lib1000.dlsu.edu.ph/login.aspx?direct=true&db=ers&AN=89250525&site=eds-live ]
